Emily Gibbons is a Fine Art undergrad at the University of Leeds. She is currently in her second year, working in the studio and studying Bodies of Difference. She also volunteers with the Yorkshire Sculpture Park as a student ambassador for the university, which you can follow at YSPerspective, and volunteers with the Footsteps into Art programme with the Stanley and Audrey Burton Gallery. Her practice encompasses all types of media and concepts, with her driving force being experimentation of new things. Currently she is interested in texture and construction, and she considers writing to be an important part of her practice, if not formally included. She can usually be found with a cup of strong breakfast tea reading articles about politics.
